Invention is accelerating. Build the tools to protect it.
Solve Intelligence is applying frontier AI to one of the most technically demanding professions in the world. We're a small team with large ambition, and we are building tools that are fundamentally changing how the best IP practices operate. Come build with us.
A $600 billion industry running on tools built for a different era.
Intellectual property underpins the global innovation economy. The patents granted today determine which technologies reach the market, which companies can compete, and which breakthroughs get protected. Yet the attorneys and IP professionals responsible for that work have been underserved by their tools for decades.
We founded Solve Intelligence to close that gap, and to build AI that is precise enough, rigorous enough, and domain-specific enough to meet the real demands of patent practice. Not productivity theatre. Actual transformation.
Careers
We hold ourselves to the same standard we set for our product.
We're one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the legal technology space: profitable, backed by investors who've built and funded some of the most important technology companies in the world, and trusted by hundreds of IP teams across every major market. We got here in under two years by building something practitioners actually want to use.
The team is small by design. We're headquartered in London, with offices in New York and Munich, and we hire the same way we build: carefully, deliberately, and with a high bar.
Our values.
These are the principles that shape how we work and who we hire.
Obsess over product. We begin with the real work patent professionals need to do, then build backward from the outcome. That means staying close to practitioners, testing assumptions early, and treating their trust as something the product has to earn every day.
High agency. Our product operates in a field where details matter. We choose rigor over theatre and evidence over confidence.
All in.We give people room to act and expect them to carry work through to a result that matters.
How we work.
Get energy from shipping, not planning.
Own things end to end, not hand them off.
Find bureaucracy frustrating, not reassuring.
Genuinely curious about the problem, not just your slice of it.
Believe the best work happens in person, not over Slack.
Make the people around you better just by being in the room.
Want to look back in ten years and know this work mattered.
Life at Solve.
Solve is a high-trust, outcomes-focused environment. We don’t track hours or manage by presence. We care about what gets built, how well it works, and what it does for the practitioners using it. The team is in person and distributed across the US and Europe, and we’ve built our working culture around that from the start. Collaboration is deliberate and meaningful rather than constant. Meetings exist when they need to, not as a substitute for decision-making.
We invest in the conditions that let people produce their best work, and we are direct when something isn’t working.

The timing is rare.
The patent process hasn’t changed in decades. We’re making every step of it faster, cheaper, and more accessible. The people who join now will shape what that looks like, and look back on it as the most important work they’ve done.
The team compounds.
You'll be working alongside people who are exceptional at what they do and good to be around. We hire slowly and deliberately because the quality of the people around you is one of the most important things we can offer.
We look after our people.
Competitive salary, meaningful equity, and the benefits you would expect from a well-funded, profitable company. We share the details during the process, but looking after the team is something we take seriously.
How we hire.
Three conversations. No runaround.
How we hire
How we hire.
Three conversations. No runaround.
1. Let's talk.We want to understand what you’re looking for in your next role, tell you honestly what Solve is, and decide whether there’s a fit.
2. Show us your thinking.A focused, practical exercise: a few hours of work that reflects what you'd actually be doing here. We want to see how you approach a real problem in our space.
3. Meet the people.A conversation with our founders. We'll go deeper on your background and thinking, you get direct access to ask anything you actually want to know.

Open roles.
FAQs.
Do I need to know patent law coming in?For most roles, no. We’ve brought in excellent engineers and researchers with no legal background who’ve gone deep on the domain quickly. For some product and customer-facing roles it accelerates your contribution, but we’ll be explicit in the listing if it matters.
Are roles in office?Yes. We have offices in London, New York, and Munich. We think being in the room together matters, particularly when building.
Do you offer visa sponsorship?Yes.
Can I reapply if I wasn’t selected?Yes. We make decisions based on timing, team needs, and fit at a specific moment, not a permanent verdict on someone’s ability. If you weren’t selected, we’d encourage you to reapply when a relevant role opens, particularly if your experience has developed in the meantime.
Why don’t your job titles have seniority levels?Because we think they create more confusion than clarity, both internally and in hiring. What matters at Solve is scope of impact and ownership, not where you sit on a ladder. We’d rather talk honestly about what a role involves than have a title do that work imprecisely.
Why don’t you list your benefits publicly?Partly because they vary by location, and a single list would be misleading. Partly because we’d rather have a real conversation about what matters to you than have you filter us out based on a line item. What we can say: we pay competitively, offer meaningful equity, and take the overall package seriously.
