Solve Intelligence × iManage: Solve’s Patent Workflows and AI agents seamlessly integrated with your Firm’s Intelligence

Patent attorneys can now directly connect with iManage into Solve Intelligence’s platform, further streamlining your patent workflows.

The best patent applications are built from deep context. Claim sets that hold up, specifications that anticipate rejections and objections, arguments that resonate with examiners and legal and IP decisions that align with business and client needs. All of this depends on the attorney having the right materials at the right time. That's why we integrated Solve Intelligence directly with iManage.

iManage is where IP practices and firm intelligence lives. It's the document management platform trusted by thousands of legal organizations globally, where client disclosures land, where prosecution histories are stored, where the institutional knowledge of a firm accumulates over years. Now, that knowledge is directly accessible inside Solve.

Solve Intelligence × iManage: Solve’s Patent Workflows and AI agents seamlessly integrated with your Firm’s Intelligence

Unlock Your Firm's IP Knowledge

Until now, getting documents from iManage into Solve meant downloading files, re-uploading them, and manually assembling context. Beyond the time cost, that process can also carry real governance risk, i.e., duplicating sensitive client materials outside your firm's controlled environment and creating version confusion that compounds as a matter develops.

With the Solve × iManage integration, that friction is gone. Attorneys can browse and import documents directly from their iManage matters, including technical disclosures, prior prosecution history, client specifications, drawings, prior art, through an embedded interface inside Solve. No manual downloads. No re-uploads.

The integration works in both directions. When a draft is complete, it can be saved back to iManage: attorneys select the destination matter folder, the same as any manual save. The draft lands exactly where it belongs, without re-uploading from a local machine.

A patent attorney beginning a new application can pull the client's invention disclosure, related prior filings, and relevant prosecution history from iManage into Solve in seconds. From there, Solve reads and processes those files to inform drafting, the same way it works with any document loaded into a project. The resulting application draws on the materials the attorney has pulled in. Once complete, it can be saved back to iManage.

Built for How IP Practices Work

We designed this integration around how patent practices actually operate, which means iManage stays the system of record. Solve connects to it; it doesn't replace it. Attorneys don't need to change their file management habits, learn a new workflow, or ask IT to reconfigure anything. The tools they rely on work together, and the drafting and overall work product gets better.

The connection uses OAuth 2.0: no third-party middleware. Users authenticate to iManage through Solve's interface, and firms will need to configure the Solve integration in their iManage instance (a one-time IT setup step). The connection is designed to respect iManage's existing access controls at the point of retrieval, so only documents the attorney is authorised to access should be retrievable through Solve (ethical wall enforcement is subject to confirmation through testing). Once documents are loaded into a Solve project, they remain available there until the attorney disconnects the integration or refreshes their project; access revocation in iManage is not automatically reflected in Solve. Within Solve's environment, Solve's own security and data handling policies apply. For firms handling the most sensitive IP in the world, security isn't a feature. It's a baseline. The integration is built to meet it.

How to Draft Patent Figures with Solve Intelligence

Solve’s Figure Builder is the integrated environment within the Solve platform where you can generate, edit, label and refine figures. It brings figures into the drafting process, alongside claim and specification drafting so consistency, and compliance with 37 CFR §1.84, is maintained across your application from the very first sketch to the version you file.

Key Takeaways:

  • Create, edit and finalize figures for your patent filings, both manually and with AI assistance.
  • Bring figure management into the heart of the drafting process to ensure you have the figures you need, when you need them.
  • Propagate changes in terminology and reference numerals across your whole application with ease.
  • Convert disclosure documents or claims into labelled line drawings in a single session, and then use them as the basis for your detailed description.

Solve Intelligence and HGF Partner to Deliver Custom AI Patent Drafting Workflows

Solve Intelligence is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with HGF, one of Europe’s leading intellectual property firms. The collaboration is focused on a clear objective: customising AI-driven drafting workflows to meet the specific needs of HGF and some of its clients.

Rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach, HGF is working closely with Solve Intelligence to shape how the drafting platform behaves across different technologies, client preferences, and drafting styles. The built-in, customisable features available in Solve’s platform are what makes this possible.

"We evaluated the field carefully before committing. Solve Intelligence delivered the drafting quality our attorneys demand and integrated seamlessly into how they already work. We are investing in the foundation for HGF's future practice."

What FICPI's ABC Meeting 2026 Revealed About AI-Ready Patent Practice

Solve Intelligence participated as a sponsor of FICPI’s ABC Meeting 2026 in Nashville, with CEO and Co-founder Chris Parsonson, demonstrating the practical application of a purpose-built patent AI platform. Patent attorneys and litigators convened for a key session addressing a central question: what is required for AI to be ready for patent practice?

Key Takeaways:

  • Solve Intelligence supports the full patent lifecycle across 700+ IP firms, from invention disclosure through litigation.
  • One firm that adopted Solve Intelligence mid-fiscal year exceeded its billing targets by $1 million by reallocating AI-saved time to higher-value work.
  • In-house teams now require outside counsel to use AI tools, making AI fluency a firm selection criterion rather than a differentiator.
  • Attorneys report that ROI is not simply about increasing speed, but about reallocating the time saved to higher-value strategies, cross-sell analysis, and client insights.
